I Haven’t Dropped Off the Face of the Earth, I Promise

So, I wanted to let all my patient readers (if any of you are still with me by this point) know why I’ve been quiet lately.  I’ve been working on a book about antique hardware (up to 38 pages now, and hopefully moving on towards completion). I also had the flu. And my husband had the flu.  (Both over it now, thank heavens.)  I’ve also gotten flooded with sewing jobs — everything from a cool custom dress made from a vintage quilt top, to alterations on some bridesmaids dresses. All this in addition to my full-time “real” job.  So just know that I haven’t forgotten all of you, and will be back soon with some recipes and miscellany as soon as things calm down a little around here!

And the Howie-cat takes a brief respite from his constant nap to say hello.

(Okay, so maybe not. It takes a lot to wake him up.) Anyway, I hope to be back with all y’all shortly! Hope you’re having a good first few days of summer….er….spring!

About Charity

I have an inexcusable number of cookbooks (and like to experiment with them), have worked in architectural antiques, and have been sewing most of my life. I recently graduated with a Ph.D. in Apparel, Merchandising, & Design from Iowa State University. Doing household things (except for cleaning!) and hunting for antiques are my favorite pastimes.
